Christmas at the Farm with A Festival of Trees - November 2008

The annual Christmas at the Farm open house was expanded in 2008 with the addition of A Festival of Trees, and we had the biggest turnout in years with more than 300 people attending.

Note: Information on the 2009 event is here.

This is an important annual event for the Society, both in terms of increasing awareness about the Society and the Peter Rice Homestead, as well as raising funds for the Society's preservation efforts.  Thanks to all of you who came, participated in the raffle, donated baked goods and crafts, participated as crafters at the event, and volunteered before, during, and after.   A special thanks to the members and leaders of Marlborough Girl Scout Troop 7045 who, together, dedicated more than 100 hours to help make this event a success.

Pictures from this day-long event, along with a list of the tree themes, sponsors and supporters, and winners of each tree are below.  You'll find the program for the event here: Cover and inside [PDF].  And the local news coverage of the festivities and the awarding of Best in Show.
